Jobs & DVI

Every piece of work in TheGarageOS is a job. A job tracks a vehicle through intake, inspection, repair, and delivery.

Job statuses

• intake — vehicle checked in, awaiting inspection
• dvi — digital vehicle inspection in progress
• quote — quote sent, awaiting approval
• in_progress — approved work underway
• ready — ready for pickup
• delivered — job complete

Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI)

The DVI is a checklist, grouped by area (brakes, tires, fluids, lights, etc.). Each item can be marked:

• Good — no action needed
• Watch — note for next visit
• Needs attention — flagged for the quote

Photos and notes attach to any item. Flagged items automatically create quote line items.

Tips

• Use the mobile app for DVI — photos upload in the background.
• Re-running a DVI on a returning vehicle pre-fills the previous results for comparison.
